The Counting Stick

A Counting Stick is an essential piece of equipment for every classroom!

It is like a metre stick, but with just ten sections and without the numbers.

Use it for whole-class sessions to build pupils’ skills in counting – in 1s, 10s, 2s, 5s, etc etc.

There are lots of ideas for different games here, including ‘Flying Lessons’ and ‘Night Time’.

There is also a guide for parents so that they can practise at home.
