What you Need

For a real understanding of number, particularly at the early stages, you need to use practical equipment, you need to explore and investigate, and you need to practise!

To make the most of the tablet activities you will need:
- tablets - (iPads or similar) [laptops will also do, but tablets are easier to use]
- a robust wifi connection
- counters and base ten material



- a set of metre sticks with the numbers marked for the tens and fives and the cm divisions marked but not numbered (you can order these from The Ruler Company).



- some time to familiarise yourself with the resources
- enthusiasm!
