The Envelope Game

Some children find it difficult to count on from one number to the next without going back to the beginning again and counting on from 1. For example, if you are adding 8 and 5 then, instead of counting from 1 all the way to 13, the most efficient thing is to THINK 8 and BEGIN COUNTING from 9: (9, 10, 11, 12, 13). This game is designed to help develop this ‘counting on’ skill.
